Don't understimate the newb units! :P Also I also see many other people doing this, even higher levels than I. They are level 4 now and I have even beaten better units through careful use and tactical playing. So, there is no way you can expect to defeat these kinds of players.just take the wins you can get and then carry on with your losing for the rest of the 40 points.Īlso I would like to add I too use riflemen (troopers right?) when I am out of my best units. I spoke with a friend who told me there is a hack out there which gives unlimited nanos/gold/resources etc.I just googled it and sure enough there certainly is. I scratched my head and thought to myself if this is what I need to get to level 4 when I am at level 20 and do not have anywhere enough warehouses to store 10k iron how the heck did I see players at level 13 with level 6 wimps? Now last night I managed to see what I need to get my wimps to level 4 promotion and saw that it was 100k gold, 10k Iron and some bars I think. I have faced a lot of these players even when at very low levels. I have a feeling you are facing "guests" with a ton of nano units or level 6 wimps etc. PVP is the funnest aspect of this game for me, and I'm sure it would be for others too if it was actually fair.

I'm talking about min/max behaviour here and general game design.

You progress literally half the speed if you don't PVP and amass friends. You don't have to PVP, but if you want to level fast, get rare resources fast, and get tons of friends to speed up getting resources/gold, then you need to PVP. Then what do you do? Lose another 10 times with bad units just to farm victory points. Right now, if you want any chance at winning you have to use your best units all at once, then you can't use them for 2 hours. Players starting out don't have 100 paid units. Basically when you are down to your last units you can use within a 2 hour period, gotta break out those riflemen (I've seen lots of other people doing this too), so it's not just about ME using them, but everybody, but especially lower level players. To get to 40 victory points per day, you gotta use whatever you can. Yes, I'm using rifleman, and hundreds of other units. I dug a bit deeper back and PVP used to work in the way I was describing but they changed it for unknown reasons. Supposedly they are no longer using this though. As it stands, I'm getting pretty annoyed and bored. Just my two cents, but I can't see any opposition to my ideas here. If a level 60 and a level 6 have the same units costs, they should be able to play together.Īlso, why is Pass even an option when it's the only option? It should just automatically pass the turn. The issue is finding similar unit costs to your opponent, not level. Why does it do this? Are you worried about some sort of skill gap? There is no skill gap. I also noticed it attempts to match people who are of similar level. Maybe there's even a slider/difficulty setting when starting PVP, +/- 5, +/- 10, +/- 25 so it gives people the option of finding fast games if they want. I'm not even saying do away with ALL variation in unit cost, but it shouldn't be so high and low from the starting point. It's boring and just adds another grindy element. But that should be the norm! I don't want to stomp somebody or get stomped on. 1 in every 10 games I get a fair match, and it's fun, exciting, and what I envision PVP being like. Sure, I understand you want to give a match to a looking person, but I would rather wait longer, or get a message "No people fighting in your unit point range at this time." than have to sit through 3 minutes of hitting "Pass" due to the huge unfairness. See any issue in this scenario? Why is this allowed to happen? I can't fathom a more off-putting, broken match making system. As a fairly min/max type of player, you will see that PVP is necessary to get anywhere in the game, which is why I am so frustrated at it.ħ Rifleman versus 3 Wandering Samurai, 1 Heavy, 2 Demoman, 1 Mortar. If I was any more weak-willed, I would of stopped a long time ago due to the state of PVP. Keep in mind, this is coming from a lower level player, but also the type of player you are looking to keep playing your game.
